Beryllium Copper (BeCu), a Copper alloy generally with 0.5-3% Beryllium, is a very
tough non-magnetic metal, resistant to stress and offering good electrical conductivity,
suitable for applications such as moulds, bullets, springs (which must retain their shapes
under stress), electrical connectors, batteries, musical instruments, etc.
Phosphor Bronze a Copper alloy with approx. 3.5 to 10% of Tin and up to 1% of
Phosphorus, is a tough metal presenting a low coefficient of friction, ideal for
applications requiring resistance to corrosion, fatigue, wear and electrical conductivity,
being widely used in springs, electrical contacts, musical instruments, etc.
Copper Nickel is a Copper alloy containing Nickel (a common mix is 25% Nickel), Iron
and Manganese, which provides a high resistance to corrosion in seawater, being used
for this reason in seawater systems (heat exchangers, condensers, pipes) as well as in
marine applications such as boats and hardware in general. Also used in coins.
Tombac is a Brass alloy with high content of Copper and approx. 5-20% Zinc content.
Due its malleability, is used in decorative pieces such as medals, ornaments,
sculptures, engraved products and in some cases in munitions.
Nickel Silver (or Alpacca) is a Copper alloy composed by Nickel and Zinc. The metal
has a “Silver” color despite doesn’t contain Silver. It’s commonly used in keys,
electro-plated components, zippers, jewelry, electric railway tracks, coins, musical
instruments, plumbing fixtures, marine fittings, silver plated cutlery, etc.
